Des Moines Family Photography - Fun at the Park

Dawn and Matt brought their son Asher to our studio in Clive for outdoor portraits at the
park recently.  We all had a great time doing Asher's one-year portraits.  You can see
some of the challenges in outdoor photography in the three pictures at the top of the slide
in his green shirt.  The middle pose is actually made from the other two images combined
in Photoshop.

Jennifer and Ben - Des Moines Engagement

Jennifer and Ben were wondering if we could take engagement portraits at the
State Capitol in dowtown Des Moines.  This is the place where Ben had chosen
to propose.  We met at the studio and hopped into the van for the trip downtown
even though snow was in the air.  The chill in the air just made it more fun for them
to snuggle for pictures.

Shay's Tea Room - Ambiance, Tea and Great Food - Just a Short Drive from Des Moines

My cousin Susan Vought who is an artist and entrepreneur invited me to join
her for tea and lunch at Shay's Tea Room in Newton.  We were treated by
our hostess, Susan Grigsby to an afternoon of exquisite selections of tea and
a fantastic tasty lunch.  While everybody was chatting, I did a photo tour of
the place including the gift shop and dining areas.
